The front of the heart is then hand painted with roses, foliage and a blue ribbon in such a pretty and dainty style. There are two further small enamel panels to the top of the heart which suspend from the chain, both decorated in pale green.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMade in Sterling Silver and fully hallmarked to the reverse. Made by J. Aitkin \u0026amp; Sons Birmingham and was made in 1912.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe heart measures 2.3 cm in width and 2 cm in length. The pendant is suspended on a silver chain with a T Bar closure fitting. This was a very typical fitting for the time so I believe the chain to be original to the necklace.
